| AN ACT concerning regulation.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Registered Surgical Assistant and |
| 5 |
| Registered Surgical
Technologist Title Protection Act is |
| 6 |
| amended by changing Section 25 as follows:
|
| 7 |

| (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2014)
|

| Sec. 25. Application for registration. An application for |
| 10 |
| an initial
registration
shall be made to the Department in |
| 11 |
| writing on forms prescribed by the
Department and shall be |
| 12 |
| accompanied by the required nonrefundable fee. An
application |
| 13 |
| shall require information that, in the judgment of the
the
|
| 14 |
| Department,
will enable the Department to evaluate the |
| 15 |
| qualifications of an applicant for
registration.
|
| 16 |
| If an applicant fails to obtain a certificate of |
| 17 |
| registration under this Act
within 3 years after
filing his or |
| 18 |
| her application, the application shall be denied. The applicant
|
| 19 |
| may make a new application, which shall be accompanied by the |
| 20 |
| required
nonrefundable fee.
