| AN ACT concerning education.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 |
| 1-3.5 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (105 ILCS 5/1-3.5 new)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 1-3.5. Use of term "registered mail". Whenever the |
| 8 |
| term "registered mail" is used in this Code, it shall be deemed |
| 9 |
| to authorize the use of either registered mail or certified |
| 10 |
| mail, return receipt requested.

| 11 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 12 |
| becoming law.
|
