AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4549

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4549 by replacing 
3
line 13 on page 7 through line 23 on page 8 with the following:

        "(6) two members, appointed by the Governor, who shall 
5
    be private timber
growers;


6
        (7) one member, appointed by the president of a 
7
    statewide association involved in promoting wood products 
8
    the Illinois Wood Products
Association, who shall be 
9
    involved in primary forest forestry industry;


10
        (8) one member, appointed by the president of a 
11
    statewide association involved in promoting wood products 
12
    the Illinois Wood Products
Association, who shall be 
13
    involved in secondary forest forestry industry;


14
        (9) one member who is actively involved in 
15
    environmental issues, appointed
by the Governor;


16
        (10) the president of a statewide association involved 
17
    in promoting soil and water conservation the Association of 
18
    Illinois Soil and Water
Conservation Districts;

        (11) two persons who are actively engaged in farming,

    appointed by the
Governor;

        (12) one member, appointed by the Governor, whose

    primary area of
expertise is urban forestry;

        (13) one member appointed by the president of a

    statewide organization of arborists President of the 
7
    Illinois Arborists
Association;


8
        (14) the Supervisor of the Shawnee National Forest and 
9
    the United States
Department of Agriculture Natural 
10
    Resource Conservation Service's
State Conservationist, ex 
11
    officio, or their designees; .

        (15) the president of a statewide association involved 
13
    in promoting Illinois forestry;
14
        (16) the president of a statewide association involved 
15
    in promoting Illinois walnut trees;
16
        (17) the chair of a statewide association involved in 
17
    promoting Illinois tree farms;
18
        (18) the president of a statewide association of 
19
    American foresters; and
20
        (19) the president of a statewide association 
21
    promoting Illinois wildlife.

    For those appointees that are currently serving on the 
23
Council prior to the effective date of  this amendatory Act of 
24
the 95th General Assembly, their term shall expire 2 years 
25
after that  effective date.".
