| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of Veterans Affairs Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
|

| Sec. 1. There is created the the Illinois Department of |

| Veterans' Affairs. The
Department is the successor agency to |

| the Illinois Veterans' Commission.
