Amends the Higher Education Student Assistance Act. Subject to appropriation, requires the Illinois Student Assistance Commission to create a pilot program to provide incentives for teachers and other support staff such as school counselors to earn the national certification of Behavioral Analyst under the Children with Disabilities Article of the School Code.

| AN ACT concerning education.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Higher Education Student Assistance Act is |
5 |
| amended by adding Section 65.85 as follows: |

| (110 ILCS 947/65.85 new) |

| Sec. 65.85. Incentives for behavior analyst certification.
|
8 |
| Subject to appropriation, the Commission shall create a pilot |
9 |
| program to provide incentives for teachers and other support |
10 |
| staff such as school counselors to earn the national |
11 |
| certification of Behavioral Analyst under Article 14 of the |
12 |
| School Code. The Commission may adopt any rules that are |
13 |
| necessary for implementation of this Section.
