| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 511.100 as follows:
|

| Sec. 511.100. Purpose. The purpose of this this Article is |

| to recognize and
provide reasonable public supervision and |

| licensing of persons who provide
administrative services in |

| connection with insurance or alternatives to
insurance.
