Amends the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act. Provides that no tax is imposed under the Act upon the purchase of jet fuel by an Illinois-based commercial airline from August 1, 2008 through August 31, 2008. Effective immediately.

| AN ACT concerning revenue.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Retailers' Occupation Tax Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 2-75 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (35 ILCS 120/2-75 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 2-75. Tax holiday. No tax is imposed under this Act |
| 8 |
| upon persons engaged in the business of selling jet fuel to |
| 9 |
| Illinois-based commercial airlines from August 1, 2008 through |
| 10 |
| August 31, 2008.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 12 |
| becoming law.
