AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 6598

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 6598, by deleting everything after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“ARTICLE 1

    Section 5.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board:

Payable from the Law Enforcement Camera

 Grant Fund:

  For grants to units of

   local government in Illinois

   related to installing video cameras

   in law enforcement vehicles and

   training law enforcement officers

   in the operation of the cameras in

   accordance with statutory provisions

   of the Law Enforcement Camera

   Grant Act....................................... 100,000

    Section 10.  The following named amount, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, is appropriated to the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board as follows:

GRANTS-IN-AID

Payable from the Traffic and Criminal

 Conviction Surcharge Fund:

  For payment of and/or reimbursement

   of training and training services

   in accordance with statutory provisions ..... 10,961,519

ARTICLE 999

Section 999.  Effective Date.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2008.”.
