| WHEREAS, A portion of Lovett's Pond, in Kincaid Township, |

| Illinois, was acquired by the Illinois Department of Natural |
| 4 |
| Resources from the Nature Conservancy on or about January 8, |
| 5 |
| 2004; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, James "Gene" Korando has been dedicated to duck |
| 7 |
| hunting in and around Kincaid Township and Lovett's Pond for a |
| 8 |
| number of years; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, James "Gene" Korando makes a famous duck soup and |
| 10 |
| manufacturers hand-made duck calls that have been used by duck |
| 11 |
| hunters all over the United States; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, James "Gene" Korando has donated duck calls to |
| 13 |
| different charities and fundraisers over the years; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, James "Gene" Korando has a big heart and he leaves |
| 15 |
| a profound impact on the people that he meets; therefore, be it
|
| 16 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 17 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 18 |
| SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we rename Lovett's Pond located |
| 19 |
| in Kincaid Township in the honor of James "Gene" Korando; and |
| 20 |
