| HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 3 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 4 |
| SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there is created the Use and |
| 5 |
| Occupation Tax Task Force, consisting of 12 members as follows: |
| 6 |
| (i) 3 members appointed by the Speaker of the House of |
| 7 |
| Representatives; (ii) 3 members appointed by the Minority |
| 8 |
| Leader of the House of Representatives; (iii) 3 members |
| 9 |
| appointed by the President of the Senate; and (iv) 3 members |
| 10 |
| appointed by the Minority Leader of the Senate; and the members |
| 11 |
| shall elect a chairperson from among the task force members; |
| 12 |
| and be it further
|
| 13 |
| RESOLVED, That the Commission on Government Forecasting |
| 14 |
| and Accountability shall provide
staff and administrative |
| 15 |
| support services to the task force;
and be it further
|
| 16 |
| RESOLVED, That the task force shall gather information and
|
| 17 |
| make recommendations to the Governor and to the General
|
| 18 |
| Assembly regarding the reformation of the use and occupation |
| 19 |
| tax procedures and policies in Illinois in such a manner that |
| 20 |
| Illinois' tax system: |
| 21 |
| (1) takes account of progress nationwide towards the |
| 22 |
| Streamlined Sales Tax Initiative that is overseen by the |
| 23 |
| Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board, Inc.; |
