| HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 4 |
| SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there is created the |
| 5 |
| Probationary School Oversight Committee to work with |
| 6 |
| principals and staff to develop stringent guidelines to address |
| 7 |
| school performance; and be it further
|
| 8 |
| RESOLVED, That the Committee shall consist of 2 members |
| 9 |
| appointed by the President of the Senate, 2 members appointed |
| 10 |
| by the Minority Leader of the Senate, 2 members appointed by |
| 11 |
| the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and 2 members |
| 12 |
| appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of |
| 13 |
| Representatives; and be it further
|
| 14 |
| RESOLVED, That Committee members shall serve without |
| 15 |
| compensation, but may be reimbursed by the State Board of |
| 16 |
| Education for their reasonable and necessary expenses from |
| 17 |
| funds appropriated for that purpose; and be it further
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, That the State Board of Education shall assign |
| 19 |
| the Committee those duties that it deems necessary in order for |
| 20 |
| the Committee to carry out its purposes under this resolution; |
| 21 |
| and be it further
