HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to honor Special Agent Drew Pearson 
4
of the Social Security Administration, Office of the Inspector 
5
General on his retirement in January of 2007; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, From 1968 to 1971 Drew Pearson served in the 
7
United States Army, serving in Germany and Vietnam; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, In 1975 he became a Program Analyst with the 
9
Social Security Administration; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, In August of 1985 Drew Pearson became a Special 
11
Agent with the Social Security Administration, Office of the 
12
Inspector General assigned to the Chicago office; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, For the past 10 years Special Agent Pearson has 
14
been an integral part of the Elgin Police Department Special 
15
Investigation Division's  efforts against drugs, gangs, and 
16
counterfeit documents; he provided guidance, agency resources, 
17
and investigative expertise and assisted the Elgin Police 
18
Department on several major cases, many of which involved 
19
multi-jurisdictions and multi-defendants; and through his 
20
efforts the professional careers of many Elgin police officers 
21
were enhanced and their relationship with the Social Security

therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate Special Agent Drew Pearson of the Social Security 
6
Administration, Office of the Inspector General on his 
7
retirement and wish him continued good success in his future; 
8
and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10
presented to Special Agent Drew Pearson.
