| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of the members of the |
| 3 |
| Illinois House of Representatives that Judith Maggio has |
| 4 |
| retired as a member of the Douglas County Board; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Maggio was the first Certified County |
| 6 |
| Official in the State of Illinois; she is known as someone who |
| 7 |
| does everything with her heart and soul, and she made serving |
| 8 |
| on the Douglas County Board her passion; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Early in her career Judith Maggio served as a |
| 10 |
| negotiator for the union while working for Magnavox; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Maggio is a cancer survivor who loves life; |
| 12 |
| she is committed to her family and has spent the last six years |
| 13 |
| traveling across the country with her husband, Richard; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, She is a member of Home Extension and the trip |
| 15 |
| coordinator; she is an avid gardener, decorator, and floral |
| 16 |
| designer; she is active in the Republican Party as a polling |
| 17 |
| judge and a campaigner; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Judith Maggio will be enjoying her retirement |
| 19 |
| along with husband, Richard, and the pride and joy of her life, |
| 20 |
| her four grandchildren; therefore, be it
