HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Carlyle Junior 
4
High Lady Indians on winning the Southern Illinois Junior High 
5
School Athletic Association State Basketball Championship game 
6
(large class); and

 
7
    WHEREAS, The Carlyle Lady Indians defeated the Olney Cubs 
8
with a final score of 45-37; and

 
9
    WHEREAS,  The Lady Indians had previously defeated 
10
Murphysboro and Sparta to move to the championship game; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, The championship was the fourth title for Carlyle, 
12
which won large school titles in 2004, 1998, and 1986; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, The Lady Indians are led by Coaches Randy Voss and 
14
Jeff Wessel; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, The 2006-07 Carlyle Junior High Lady Indians are 
16
Syndey Novsek, Jenna Huels, Olivia Walker, Kaylee Gustafson, 
17
Cati Funderburk, Samantha Harlan, Nicole Stanfa, Paige 
18
Mueller, Katie Stanfa, Paige Rakers, Tiffany Aarns, Courtney 
19
Kern, Haley Purcell, Amanda Feldmann,  and Nicole Schaeffer;

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

congratulate the Carlyle Lady Indians on winning the Southern 
4
Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association Championship 
5
(large class); and be it further

    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
7
presented to the coaches and team members of the Carlyle Lady 
8
Indians as a symbol of our esteem.
