| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives wish to congratulate Courtney Weibel, a senior |
| 4 |
| girl's basketball player at Rockford Hononegah High School, and |
| 5 |
| the nation's all-time 3-point shooter; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Courtney Weibel wanted to continue shooting |
| 7 |
| baskets when officials briefly stopped the recent game to |
| 8 |
| acknowledge that Courtney had made her 456th career |
| 9 |
| three-pointer in a game, breaking the national record; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Courtney Weibel will continue her achievements in |
| 11 |
| basketball when she attends Marquette University on a |
| 12 |
| basketball scholarship; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Courtney Weibel shoots 100 3-point shots a day in |
| 14 |
| her gym class, and then shoots more during team practice; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The team's coach is Ms. Weibel's proud father, |
| 16 |
| Randy Weibel; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Courtney Weibel is someone the State of Illinois |
| 18 |
| can be proud of, and we look forward to hearing more great |
| 19 |
| things as she moves on in her sports career; therefore, be it
