HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, On March 8, 2007 the Anti-Defamation League will 
3
honor outstanding women at the 14th annual Women of Achievement 
4
Awards dinner at the Fairmont, Chicago; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, The honorees this year are Gail K. Boudreaux, 
6
Executive Vice President of External Operations, Blue Cross and 
7
Blue Shield of Illinois; Leticia Peralta-Davis, President 
8
Davis Financial, Inc.; Ellen Rozelle McGee, Managing Partner, 
9
Clarity Partners, LLC; and Andrea S. Kramer, Partner,  McDermott 
10
Will & Emery; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, A special presentation will be made when Joan 
12
Harris, Chairperson of the Irving Harris Foundation,  receives a 
13
Humanitarian Award; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, The Anti-Defamation League is one of the nation's 
15
leading human rights agencies; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, The Anti-Defamation League fights anti-Semitism 
17
and all forms of bigotry here and abroad, combats international 
18
terrorism, probes the roots of hatred, advocates before 
19
Congress, comes to the aid of victims of bigotry, develops 
20
educational programs, and serves as a public resource for 
21
government, media, law enforcement, and the public, all towards

the goals of countering and reducing hatred; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4
congratulate Gail K. Boudreaux, Leticia Peralta-Davis, Ellen 
5
Rozelle McGee, Andrea S. Kramer, and Joan Harris as honorees at 
6
the Anti-Defamation League's Women of Achievement Awards 
7
dinner; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
9
presented to the award recipients as a symbol of our esteem.
