| WHEREAS, The Oswego Village Board presented Lifesaving |
| 3 |
| Awards to Captain Nick Sikora, Officer Pat Wicyk, and Officer |
| 4 |
| John Wolfinbarger of the Oswego Police Department for their |
| 5 |
| efforts in aiding those in need; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Captain Nick Sikora was nominated for his actions |
| 7 |
| on May 24, 2006, when he responded to a call of a man down; he |
| 8 |
| found a man lying on the ground, unconscious and not breathing; |
| 9 |
| while waiting for paramedics to arrive, Captain Sikora began |
| 10 |
| CPR; the victim was revived at the scene and transported to the |
| 11 |
| hospital; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Officer John Wolfinbarger was nominated for his |
| 13 |
| actions on June 4, 2006, when he responded to a call of a man |
| 14 |
| down; he found a man lying on the floor, unconscious and not |
| 15 |
| breathing; Officer Wolfinbarger began CPR until paramedics |
| 16 |
| arrived and transported the victim to the hospital; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Officer Wicyk, the Oswego K-9 officer and a member |
| 18 |
| of the Special Response Team, answered a domestic call where a |
| 19 |
| man was found hanging from a chain around his neck; Officer |
| 20 |
| Wicyk lifted the man while the man's wife removed the chain; |
| 21 |
| due to his quick response the man's life was saved; and
