HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lance
4 Corporal Raymond James Holzhauer of Dwight, who passed away on
5 March 15, 2007, in Iraq; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Raymond Holzhauer was stationed at Camp Legune,
7 North Carolina; he volunteered to go to Iraq and was deployed
8 on January 20, 2007 to Camp Taqaddum in Iraq for Operation
9 Iraqi Freedom, where worked in the armory in small arms repair;
10 this was his first tour of duty in Iraq; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Raymond Holzhauer was born on May 15, 1987 in
12 Pontiac, the son of Raymond V. Holzhauer and Lori J. Fraher;
13 and
 
14     WHEREAS, Raymond Holzhauer attended Dwight schools and
15 graduated from Dwight Township High School in 2005; after
16 graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Raymond Holzhauer loved hunting, fishing, and
18 spending time with his family and friends; he was a member of
19 St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Dwight, Dwight American Legion
20 Post #486, and Dwight VFW Post #2608; and

1     WHEREAS, Raymond Holzhauer is survived by his father,
2 Raymond V. Holzhauer, and his mother, Lori J. Fraher; his
3 sister, Kirstin Holzhauer; his grandparents, Jim and Ruth
4 Fraher, Ray and Shirley Holzhauer, and Carol and Gary Quigley;
5 his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends;
6 therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
9 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Lance
10 Corporal Raymond Holzhauer; and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Lance Corporal
12 Raymond Holzhauer and his willingness to serve his country,
13 which led to him making the ultimate sacrifice; and be it
14 further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of Lance Corporal Raymond James
17 Holzhauer as a symbol of our sympathy and respect.
