HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives wish to congratulate the Highland Middle 
4
School drill team for winning State championships in both the 
5
dance and lyrical categories at the Illinois Drill Team 
6
Association Junior Varsity/Junior High Finals at Bloomington 
7
High School; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, The Highland Middle School drill team capped off 
9
an undefeated season by repeating as State champions in the 
10
dance category and placing first with its lyrical routine in 
11
its first year of competition in the lyrical category; and

    WHEREAS, The Highland Middle School drill team head coach 
13
is Erin Strackeljahn; and

    WHEREAS, Members of the Highland Middle School Drill Team 
15
are Cassandra White, Lyndsey Poettker, Morgan Schrage, Jenna 
16
Luitjohan, Siarra Price, Hayley Welz, Brianna Netemeyer, 
17
Ashley Wellen, Makayla Miller, Lindsey Taylor, Sarah Wagner, 
18
Madeline Laney, Megan Kujawa, Claire Munie, Shaina 
19
Rittenhouse, and Hannah Runge; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

congratulate the drill team from Highland Middle School and

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to the Highland Middle School drill team members as a
