HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Kathy Jesuit of 
4
Hanover Park on receiving the 2007 Illinois Education 
5
Association Educational Support Professional (ESP) Award; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Kathy Jesuit lives in Hanover Park with her 
7
husband, Jeff; they have three grown children, Sara, Gabrielle, 
8
and Jason, and one grandson, Kyle; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Kathy Jesuit has worked in District 54 for 17 
10
years and is currently in her sixth year as president of the 
11
Schaumburg Education Employees Organization; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, The Schaumburg Education Employees Organization 
13
represents 450 ESP members; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Kathy Jesuit has previously served as a building 
15
representative, a local scholarship chair, vice president, and 
16
a member of the negotiations team; she is a member of the 
17
Region 35 Council and was past elections chair of the Region; 
18
she serves on the School Board Relations Team; she is a member 
19
of the District Benefits Committee, Budget Committee, Labor 
20
Management Committee, and Recognition Committee; she is a 
21
member of NCESP and has participated in a NCESP Conference,

IEA-ESP Conferences, CB/WAC Conferences, SLA, NCUEA Summer 
2
Conference, the Midwest Leadership Conference, and partnered 
3
with the Schaumburg EA President in NCUEA President's Training; 
4
and

    WHEREAS, The Educational Support Professional Award is 
6
presented to a person who is involved in his or her local, 
7
State, or national association; has made achievements in his or 
8
her professional classification, promoted public education in 
9
the community; and enhanced the image of educational support 
10
personnel in the Association, the work site, or the community; 
11
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
13
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
14
congratulate Kathy Jesuit of Hanover Park on receiving the 2007 
15
Illinois Education Association Educational Support 
16
Professional Award and wish her nothing but the best for the 
17
future; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
19
presented to Kathy Jesuit as a symbol of our respect.
