HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, On Saturday, April 28, 2007, Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children's Hospital, Oak Lawn, will be hosting the Salute 2007 Gala at the Hilton Chicago Hotel at which Antone Tatooles, M.D. will be honored by the Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children's Hospital as a 2007 Outstanding Physician Leader for his exceptional professionalism and contributions in his medical field; and

WHEREAS, Antone Tatooles, M.D. graduated from the Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency in General Surgery at Northwestern University/Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston; he was also a sub-intern in Cardiac Surgery Service at the University of Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Tatooles is well published in his field and has presented at many national conferences; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Tatooles has held academic appointments at the University of Illinois, Harvard University, and Northwestern University; he holds many awards and honors including Phi Eta Sigma Honorary Fraternity, Mortarboard Senior Honor Society, and Tau Beta Phi; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Tatooles is a member of the Chicago Medical Society, the Illinois State Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and the Aerospace Medical Association; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Antone Tatooles, M.D., on being honored by the Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children's Hospital for his exceptional professionalism and contributions in his medical field; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Antone Tatooles, M.D., as a symbol of our respect.
