HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Evelyn Kreher of 
4
Freeburg on her retirement from Freeburg Township on March 30, 
5
2007; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher was born on January 31, 1938; her 
7
parents were Louis and Stella Kehrer; she graduated from 
8
Freeburg High School; she married Joseph C. Kreher on April 4, 
9
1956; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Over the years Evelyn Kreher has worked at 
11
Wiegmanns; Spiegel, Neff Farm Equipment, and Vivianos 
12
Restaurant; and she worked for Freeburg Township as an 
13
Administrative Assistant; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher has been very active in volunteer 
15
activities; she is a member of the St. Joseph Sesquicentennial 
16
Committee; she is involved with the
St. Joseph Altar Sodality 
17
Womans Club and  Community Outreach programs; she is a
Team 
18
Leader for the Neighborhood Watch; she is a past member of the 
19
St. Joseph Parish Council and has served as an Election Judge; 
20
and

 
21
    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher has donated much of her time

assisting  seniors in the Freeburg area; she has been actively 
2
involved with the Programs and
Services for Older Persons

3
Program with the Illinois Department of Aging; and

 
4
    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher is the mother of three sons, Kenneth 
5
Kreher, Joseph Kreher Jr., and the late Edward Kreher; she has 
6
seven grandchildren, Eric, Julie, Brian, Daniel, Amy, Kelli, 
7
and Blake Kreher; and
 
8
    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher plans to continue her efforts 
9
working with area seniors during her retirement; she will also 
10
spend more time with her family; therefore, be it

 
11
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
12
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
13
congratulate Evelyn Kreher on her retirement from Freeburg 
14
Township and wish her continued success and happiness in the 
15
future; and be it further

 
16
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17
presented to Evelyn Kreher.
