HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to honor Karen McNulty Enright upon 
4
the occasion of her installation as the President of the 
5
Women's Bar Association of Illinois; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Karen McNulty Enright earned her Juris Doctor 
7
degree from the John Marshall Law School in 1992; she is a 
8
founding partner of the firm Winters Enright Salzetta & 
9
O'Brien, L.L.C.; she is a successful trial lawyer who has tried 
10
numerous cases involving complex medical and personal injuries 
11
and has obtained verdicts and settlements in excess of a 
12
million dollars; she is also a chair-qualified arbitrator for 
13
the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration program; and she has 
14
served as an adjunct professor at The John Marshall Law School 
15
and a past adjunct professor at the Chicago College of 
16
Commerce; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Karen McNulty Enright has been elected as "One of 
18
40 Lawyers Under 40 In the State of Illinois" to Watch by The 
19
Law Bulletin Publishing Company;
she has received the Women's 
20
Bar Association of Illinois Service Award for Uncommon 
21
Dedication and Outstanding Service;
she has been selected for 
22
the Who's Who among American Trial Lawyers and the
Million 
23
Dollar Lawyers Forum;
and she has been selected as a Leading

Illinois Attorney and an Illinois Super Lawyer; and

 
2
    WHEREAS, Karen McNulty Enright has been active with the 
3
John Marshall Law School Alumni Association, the Illinois State 
4
Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, the Women's Bar 
5
Foundation, the Alliance of Bar Associations, the Illinois 
6
Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the 
7
Society of Trial Lawyers,  the Professional Women's Club of 
8
Chicago, The Lawyers Club of Chicago, the Leukemia Society, and 
9
the Mid-Day Club; she has been a Pro Bono litigator for Chicago 
10
Volunteer Legal Services and Department of Children and Family 
11
Services; and

    WHEREAS, Karen McNulty Enright has created innumerable 
13
articles and lectures for the Illinois State Bar Association, 
14
the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar 
15
Association, the Women's Bar Association of Illinois, the 
16
Nazareth Academy, and Loyola Law School; and
 
17
    WHEREAS, Karen McNulty Enright is married to Jerry Enright; 
18
they have two children, Jack and Liam; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Karen McNulty Enright will be installed as the 
20
President of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois at a 
21
ceremony on June 7, 2007; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
honor and congratulate Karen McNulty Enright on her 
4
installation and her many years of dedicated service in the 
5
legal profession; and be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to Karen McNulty Enright as a symbol of our esteem 
8
and respect.
