HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Joseph M. Lecher on 
4
his retirement from the Village of Pesotum Board of Trustees; 
5
and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Joseph M. Lecher has served the citizens of 
7
Pesotum for more than 30 years; he served as Village Trustee 
8
from 1975 to 1977, then served again from 2001 to 2007; and he 
9
served as Village President from 1977 to 1989 and from 1993 to 
10
2001; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Joseph M. Lecher served in the Illinois Army 
12
National Guard for 25 years in the 1st 106th Aviation Regiment; 
13
he worked for the Champaign County Public Health Department for 
14
35 1/2 years; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Joseph M. Lecher founded the Pesotum ESDA and the 
16
Pesotum Athletic Association; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Joseph M. Lecher is a member of the Lions Club and 
18
the American Legion  Pesotum Post; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Joseph M. Lecher and his wife, Diane, have two 
20
sons, Timothy and David; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
thank Joseph M. Lecher for his many years of public service and 
4
congratulate him on his retirement; we wish him continued 
5
success and happiness in the future; and be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to Joseph M. Lecher as a symbol of our esteem and 
8
respect.
