| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to honor Police Chief Rick Perry of |
| 4 |
| the Flora Police Department as he retires on July 1, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Perry has served the people of Flora for 25 |
| 6 |
| years; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Perry is proud of the department, and in its |
| 8 |
| fight against crime and drugs in the community; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Perry served in the United States Army for |
| 10 |
| six years and the Clay County Sheriff's Department for four |
| 11 |
| years; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Perry is supported by his wife, Carolyn; his |
| 13 |
| children, Jason and Staci; his son-in-law, Phil Bute; his |
| 14 |
| grandchildren, Hannah and Emma Bute and Samantha "Sammi" Perry; |
| 15 |
| and his mother, Blanche Perry; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The community of Flora has been brought into |
| 17 |
| greater contact with the police department through the efforts |
| 18 |
| of Chief Perry and will miss his leadership; therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
