HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Louis
4 Davis "L.D." Miller of Aurora, who passed away on May 7, 2007;
5 and
 
6     WHEREAS, L.D. Miller was born April 23, 1930 to Anderson
7 and Anna Miller in Toomsuba, Mississippi; he married Avis
8 Patterson on April 11, 1987 and together they blended their
9 families into a loving and caring unit; and
 
10     WHEREAS, L.D. Miller worked with the City of Aurora in the
11 Maintenance Department and the City Park District until his
12 retirement; L.D. Miller was a member of the Main Baptist Church
13 of Aurora where he served in the Kitchen Ministry; he loved to
14 cook and enjoyed the fellowship with other members of the
15 committee; and
 
16     WHEREAS, L.D. Miller was preceded in death by his parents;
17 and his brothers, Anderson Miller Jr., James David Miller, and
18 Early B. Miller; and
 
19     WHEREAS, L.D. Miller will be dearly missed by his wife of
20 20 years, Avis; his daughters, Tracey L. Phillips, E.G. (Kevin)
21 Jenkins, Jackiey Gibson, Judy Durham, and Angie Durham; his

1 sons, Tony, Terry (Deborah) Miller, Nathaniel, and Isaac
2 Edwards; his grandchildren, Indira and TJ Martell and Kendrick
3 Miller, Jamica B. Schaeffer, Tavis and Markell Gibson, Durrell
4 and Trevis Williams, and Michael Harden and Derrick Edwards;
5 his sisters, Lillie Ruth (Judson) Terrell, Evangelist Ann L.
6 Miller, Johnnie B. Miller, Mamie (Raymond) Brown, and Betty
7 (Theodore) Jowers; his brothers, Charles Jerome and Bobby D.
8 Miller; his special aunt, Callie Coleman; and a host of other
9 loving relatives; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
12 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Louis
13 Davis "L.D." Miller; and be it further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to the family of Louis Davis "L.D." Miller as a
16 symbol of our sympathy.
