| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of
|
| 4 |
| Michael L. Nardulli, who passed away on April 14, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Michael L. Nardulli was a lifelong resident of |
| 6 |
| Chicago; he grew up near Santa Maria Addolorata Church on Ada |
| 7 |
| Street near Grand Avenue; he attended Wells High School and |
| 8 |
| served in the Army during World War II; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Michael L. Nardulli was active in city and State |
| 10 |
| politics all of his life; he was a State representative for the |
| 11 |
| 19th District during the 1970s; in 1979, he succeeded Chicago's |
| 12 |
| 26th Ward Alderman Stanley Zydlo and was a City Council member |
| 13 |
| for seven years; after leaving the City Council, Mr. Nardulli |
| 14 |
| was a member of the Illinois Pollution Control Board from 1987 |
| 15 |
| to 1994; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Nardulli always remained loyal to his |
| 17 |
| neighborhood around Grand and Ogden Avenues on Chicago's Near |
| 18 |
| Northwest Side, which he considered home, to his friends and |
| 19 |
| family, and to the city's Democratic organization; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Nardulli is survived by his wife of 57 years, |
| 21 |
| Josephine "Shaw", nee Scalera; his daughter, Jeannine |
