HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Statesmen, the 
4
men's baseball team at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, on 
5
winning the Region 24 championship; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, The Statesmen lost to John A. Logan College in the 
7
first championship game 12-10 in 11 innings, but bounced back 
8
with a 4-3 victory to claim the Region 24 title May 14; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Lincoln Trail College baseball coach Mitch 
10
Hannahs was named Region 24 Coach of the Year, and Tyler Rehmel 
11
earned All-Great Rivers Athletic Conference and All-Region 24 
12
honors; and

    WHEREAS, The Assistant Coaches for the team  are Kevin Bower 
14
and Steven Carter; and the Volunteer Assistant Coach is Dick 
15
Bollinger; and

    WHEREAS, The Statesmen baseball team is comprised of: Jeff

College on this impressive victory; and be it further

presented to Head Coach Mitch Hannahs and the Statesmen as a

symbol of our respect.
