| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Joliet Fire Chief |
| 4 |
| Larry Mores on the occasion of his retirement; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Mores will have served as chief for 18 |
| 6 |
| months when his retirement takes effect on August 24, 2007; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Mores has served the department for 33 |
| 8 |
| years, starting his career in 1974; he climbed the department's |
| 9 |
| ladder over the years, holding every rank; he was the deputy |
| 10 |
| chief when he took the position of Chief in February 2006; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, During his tenure as chief, Chief Mores oversaw |
| 12 |
| the completion of Fire Station 10 and the installation of |
| 13 |
| Mobile Data Terminals within the departments; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Mores is followed in his service on the |
| 15 |
| Joliet Fire Department by his son, Christopher, who is |
| 16 |
| currently a firefighter paramedic; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Chief Mores plans on spending time in his |
| 18 |
| retirement with his family, including his sons, Christopher, |
| 19 |
| Steven, and Matthew, traveling with his wife, Sue, and enjoying |
| 20 |
| his hobbies of bocce ball, walking, and hiking; therefore, be |
