HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to recognize Deputy Treasurer of 
4
the State of Illinois, Martin Noven, as he leaves the State 
5
Treasurer's Office to take a position in the private sector; 
6
and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Martin Noven has been with the Treasurer's office 
8
for fourteen years, starting as an intern under then Treasurer 
9
Pat Quinn;  he went on to serve under former Treasurer Judy Baar 
10
Topinka, and current Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, His many titles have included Summer Intern, 
12
Administrative Assistant, Legal Advisor, Legal Counsel, 
13
Special Counsel to the Treasurer, Inspector General, Deputy 
14
Chief of Staff for Law & Policy, and ending with his current 
15
title as Deputy Treasurer; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Martin Noven has ascended to his current role by 
17
using his innovative thinking, his strong leadership skills, 
18
and his willingness to tackle tough issues and take on any 
19
added responsibilities within the office; and

 
20
    WHEREAS, He has contributed to the Treasurer's office by 
21
dedication, hard work, and a passion for the office; and

    WHEREAS, Martin Noven is respected by his co-workers and 
2
deserving of this honor; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate Martin Noven and wish him continued success in all 
6
his future endeavors; and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to Martin Noven as a symbol of our respect and 
9
admiration.
