HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Dr. William F. Beach on the occasion of his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Beach had served for six years as the seventh Superintendent of Limestone Community High School when he chose to retire; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Beach has given 30 years of service to his community, starting his career at Limestone as a science teacher and assistant football coach, and later becoming head coach; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure as Varsity Football Coach, Dr. Beach oversaw eight teams with winning records, four with state playoff births and two with conference championships; he was elected president of the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association in 1990; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Beach took on technology development and instruction in the classroom; he assisted in mapping out and designing the entire computer network that was, and still is considered, a state of the art high school for computer technology; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Beach was appointed the first principal of Limestone Community High School after only five years as an administrator in the Dean's office, a position he held for nine years before receiving his Superintendent's Endorsement from Western Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Beach plans on spending time in his retirement with his family and his wife, Sue; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Dr. William F. Beach on the occasion of his retirement and we thank him for his many years of service educating the children of the Bartonville area; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Beach as an expression of our esteem and with best wishes for a relaxing retirement.
