HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dawn 
4
David, formerly of Romeoville and Chicago, who passed away on 
5
June 13, 2007; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Dawn David was born in Chicago on October 26, 
7
1961; she grew up in Romeoville until she moved to Michigan in 
8
2002 to marry Matthew David, Sr. in 2003; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Dawn David passed away of an embolism lodged in 
10
her heart; through the donation of her organs, Dawn was able to 
11
save the lives of five individuals; her eyes helped a person 
12
from Arlington Heights and a person from Chicago to see; her 
13
kidneys helped two people get off dialysis; and her liver  saved 
14
the life of a fifty-seven-year-old woman; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Dawn David was an avid Amateur Radio operator with 
16
the call sign K8DMD; she enjoyed talking on the radio and was 
17
on the air, always letting her husband know that she was safe 
18
when she was on the road; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Dawn David loved to cook and spend time with her 
20
children; and

    WHEREAS, Dawn David is survived by her husband Matthew 
2
David Sr.; her children, Timothy Hicks II and Clarissa Hicks; 
3
her step-children, Matthew David, Jr. and Jeremy David; 
4
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7
mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Dawn 
8
David; and be it further

 
9
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10
presented to the family of Dawn David as a symbol of our 
11
sympathy.
