| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Gary Bretthauer, |
| 4 |
| Kendall County Extension Educator, on his retirement from the |
| 5 |
| University of Illinois Extension in August of 2007; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Gary Bretthauer has been with the Kendall County |
| 7 |
| Extension since January of 1993; he specializes in the areas of |
| 8 |
| field crop production and integrated pest management; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Gary Bretthauer grew up in Kendall County; he |
| 10 |
| attended Blackburn College in Carlinville before transferring |
| 11 |
| to Iowa State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science |
| 12 |
| degree in general agriculture; he earned a Master of Science |
| 13 |
| degree in agricultural economics from the University of |
| 14 |
| Illinois and served as the graduate assistant for the |
| 15 |
| University of Illinois Trust Farms; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Gary Bretthauer spent ten years as a farm manager |
| 17 |
| in DeKalb before returning to Kendall County; in addition to |
| 18 |
| serving as the County Extension Educator, he also operates a |
| 19 |
| small grain farm; therefore, be it
|
