HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ronald Lehman as he 
4
steps down as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National 
5
Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) after a three-year term; 
6
and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Ronald Lehman has also served as the Commissioner 
8
of the Channahon Park District since 1972; and he has been a 
9
member of the Board of Trustees of the NRPA since 1993;  and

 
10
    WHEREAS, He was a board member of the Illinois Association 
11
of Park Districts from 1987 to 1994, and served as President 
12
from 1992 to 1993; in 1994 he received the Illinois Association 
13
of Park Districts Commissioner of the Year Award; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Ronald Lehman was a board member of the Illinois 
15
and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor Commission from 
16
1992 to 1998, and served as Chairman from 1995 to 1998; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, He is also a former Village of Channahon Trustee, 
18
a charter member of the Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club, and was 
19
named the 1996 Village of Channahon Citizen of the Year; and

 
20
    WHEREAS, Ronald Lehman is a retired principal of the

Minooka Community High School; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4
congratulate Ronald Lehman on all his success and wish him the 
5
best in the future; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to Ronald Lehman as a symbol of our respect.
