HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Reverend John J. 
4
"Jack" Clair, Chaplain and Co-Director of Development for 
5
Misericordia Home, on the twenty-fifth anniversary of his 
6
ordination, September 16, 2007; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Reverend Clair has served as Vice President of St. 
8
Joseph Seminary at Loyola University, as Director of 
9
Recruitment and Admissions at Niles College Seminary of Loyola 
10
University, Development Coordinator at Niles College Seminary 
11
of Loyola University, Director of the Retreat Organization of 
12
Catholic Kids Youth Program, Associate Pastor at Saint Hubert 
13
Parish in Hoffman Estates, and Deacon at Saint Michael Parish 
14
in Orland Park; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Reverend Clair received his Master of Divinity 
16
from the University of Saint Mary of the Lake and his Bachelor 
17
of Arts from Loyola University in Chicago; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, In addition to his work, Reverend Clair has been 
19
the coordinator for seminary retreats, served on the speech 
20
writing team for Joseph Cardinal Bernardin, directed and 
21
produced several plays, made presentations at several 
22
missions, retreats, and novenas, and served as facilitator of

several Rite of Christian Initiation for Adult (RCIA) seminars; 
2
and

 
3
    WHEREAS, Reverend Clair currently serves on the Saint 
4
Gregory the Great High School Board and the Irish Fellowship 
5
Club Board of Directors; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Reverend Clair received the St. Joseph Seminary 
7
Rerum Novarum Award in October of 2000 and the Galway 
8
Fellowship Club Award in April of 2007; therefore, be it

 
9
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
10
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
11
congratulate Reverend John J. "Jack" Clair on this milestone 
12
anniversary of his ordination and wish him continued success in 
13
the future; and be it further

 
14
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15
presented to Reverend John J. "Jack" Clair as a symbol of our 
16
respect and admiration.
