| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Davalion |

| Rivkin of Chicago, who passed away on August 8, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Davalion Rivkin was born on September 13, 1973 in |
| 6 |
| Chicago; his parents were Thomas Jr. and Charlene Rivkin; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Davalion Rivkin confessed his belief in God at an |
| 8 |
| early age and attended the Apostolic Church of God, where he |
| 9 |
| was baptized; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Davalion Rivkin was educated in the Chicago public |
| 11 |
| schools; he was a passionate artist and poet who loved to |
| 12 |
| entertain and joke with others; his favorite hobbies were |
| 13 |
| cooking, cosmetology, singing, and rapping; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Davalion Rivkin was preceded in death by his |
| 15 |
| grandmother, Yvonne Johnson; his grandfather, Leroy Johnson; |
| 16 |
| his father, Thomas Jackson Jr.; his grandfather, Thomas Jackson |
| 17 |
| Sr.; his uncles, Christopher Rivkin and Calvin Jackson; and his |
| 18 |
| stepfather, Travis Johnson; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Davalion Rivkin is survived by his wife, Michelle |
| 20 |
| Rivkin; his mother, Charlene; his grandmother, Theresa |
