| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of William |
| 4 |
| R. McGrath, an officer with twenty-eight years of service |
| 5 |
| within the Chicago Police Department; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, William R. McGrath was born on January 24, 1935 |
| 7 |
| and departed this life on September 3, 2007; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, William McGrath was the beloved husband of Mary |
| 9 |
| Jane nee O'Connor; he was the loving father of William R. |
| 10 |
| McGrath, Jr., Mary Susan (Kenneth) Wojcik, Michael (Donna), |
| 11 |
| Kathleen (Thomas) Platt, Daniel, James (Yvonne) and the late |
| 12 |
| Julie; he was the dearest grandfather of Eric and Kevin Wojcik, |
| 13 |
| Katie, Leni, and Tina McGrath, Jenna, Michael, and Jaclyn |
| 14 |
| McGrath, Gregory, Timothy, and John Platt, Ian and Ronan |
| 15 |
| McGrath, and Nicole and Samantha McGrath; and he was the loving |
| 16 |
| brother of Mary Ellen (Kenneth) Lancaster and Patricia (John) |
| 17 |
| Kelley; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |

| mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of |
