HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of the 
3
Illinois House of Representatives welcome the opportunity to 
4
recognize citizens of this State who make outstanding 
5
contributions to society; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Steve K. Admonis 
7
has announced his retirement as Chief of the Channahon Police 
8
Department after 20 years of service; and


 
9
    WHEREAS, Steve K. Admonis has been in law enforcement for 
10
35 years, having served in various police departments before 
11
joining the Channahon Police Department; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Since becoming Channahon's full-time police chief 
13
in 1988, Steve K. Admonis has accomplished the 3 goals he set 
14
for the department; the goals include increasing the 
15
department's manpower to 20 full-time officers, adding squad 
16
cars to the department, and improving the department's radio 
17
communications; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Steve K. Admonis' energetic and active leadership 
19
and his devotion to his duty and to his community have earned 
20
him the respect of all who have had the privilege of knowing 
21
him; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
commend and applaud Steve K. Admonis as he retires as Chief of 
4
the Channahon Police Department and extend to him our sincere 
5
best wishes for the future; and be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this preamble and 
7
resolution be presented to Steve K. Admonis as a symbol of our 
8
respect and esteem.
