HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened to  learn of the death of
Arthur 
4
Kenneth Jones, who passed away on October 17, 2007; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Arthur Jones was born on March 31, 1997 in 
6
Chicago; his parents are Rita Virginia Perez and Eric Vonzell 
7
Jones  Sr.; he was the fifth of nine children; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Arthur Jones accepted Christ and was baptized at 
9
Fellowship M.B. Church by Pastor Charles Jenkins; he loved to 
10
sit in the second row of pews with his mother and watch the 
11
pastor preach; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Arthur Jones attended Esmond Elementary School; 
13
he was a 5th grade student at Oliver Wendell Holmes Elementary 
14
School, where he was a consistent honor roll student; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Arthur Jones loved reading the Bible, model cars, 
16
wrestling, playing with wrestling figures, God, and his family; 
17
and

    WHEREAS, Arthur Jones is survived by his mother, Rita 
19
Perez; his father, Eric Jones Sr.; his brothers, Eric Jr., 
20
Quincy, and Dwayne; his sisters, Diane, Rose Marrie, Rita,

Glorie Grace, and Angie; his grandparents; and his many

relatives, friends, and church family; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Arthur 
6
Kenneth Jones; and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Arthur Kenneth Jones as an 
9
expression of our sympathy.
