HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Glenda Boling, 
4
instructor of speech and drama at Danville Area Community 
5
College, on being named the top instructor and receiving the 
6
2007 William H. Meardy Award for Outstanding Faculty, presented 
7
by the Association of Community Colleges; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Glenda Boling accepted the William H. Meardy 
9
Faculty Award at the Association of Community Colleges national 
10
convention in San Diego in September 2007; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, This is the fourth national faculty honor in just 
12
six years for Danville Area Community College; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Glenda Boling was also named the top instructor in 
14
her region by the Association of Community Colleges Trustees in 
15
the summer of 2007; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Glenda Boling has been an instructor for 23 years; 
17
she started teaching part-time at Danville Area Community 
18
College in 1994, and became full-time in 2001; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Glenda Boling began the theater department at the 
20
college and also started offering acting classes; in addition,

she is known as a teacher who gets to know her students; 
2
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate Glenda Boling and wish her continued success in 
6
the future; and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to Glenda Boling as a symbol of our respect.
