| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The United States Department of Veterans Affairs |
| 3 |
| Veterans Health Administration (VHA) provides a broad spectrum |
| 4 |
| of medical, prescription, surgical, and rehabilitative care |
| 5 |
| for US veterans; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The VHA's responsibilities also include the |
| 7 |
| administration and operation of numerous outpatient clinics, |
| 8 |
| hospitals, medical centers, and long-term care facilities for |
| 9 |
| veterans; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Veterans who have served our country are entitled |
| 11 |
| to expect and receive consistently high-quality health care; |
| 12 |
| and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The health care provided to our veterans is in |
| 14 |
| fact inadequate; therefore, be it
|
| 15 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 |
| urge Congress and the United States government to ensure that |
| 18 |
| all veterans have adequate health care; and be it further
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be sent to each |
| 20 |
| member of the Illinois Congressional delegation and to the |
