| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the congregation |
| 4 |
| of St. Michael's Parish in Galena on the occasion of the |
| 5 |
| church's 175th anniversary; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, St. Michael's Parish was built in 1832; from the |
| 7 |
| time of its founding, the church has provided material and |
| 8 |
| spiritual comfort to the citizens of the City of Galena; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, A special anniversary Mass, choir performance, |
| 10 |
| and banquet will be held at St. Michael's Parish on December 8, |
| 11 |
| 2007 at 5:30 PM to commemorate the momentous anniversary of |
| 12 |
| this historic institution; therefore, be it
|
| 13 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 15 |
| congratulate the congregation of St. Michael's Parish in Galena |
| 16 |
| on the occasion of the church's 175th anniversary and wish them |
| 17 |
| continued success and happiness in the future; and be it |
| 18 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |

| presented to the congregation of St. Michael's Parish as a |

| symbol of our esteem and respect.
