| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Reynaldo |
| 4 |
| Glover, who passed away on November 27, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Reynaldo Glover was born in Gary, Indiana, on |
| 6 |
| March 2, 1943, the second of six children; after graduating |
| 7 |
| from high school, he went to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend |
| 8 |
| Fisk University; in 1965, he enrolled in Harvard Law School, |
| 9 |
| earning an LL.B. in 1968; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, After graduation Reynaldo Glover went to work for |
| 11 |
| the Law Students Civil Rights Research Council in New York, |
| 12 |
| where he became the national executive director; after |
| 13 |
| returning to Chicago, he became a general partner at a number |
| 14 |
| of law firms culminating in his joining TLC Beatrice |
| 15 |
| International Holdings in New York in 1994 and becoming counsel |
| 16 |
| to DLA Piper in Chicago; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, From 1996-2000, Reynaldo Glover managed and |
| 18 |
| oversaw all corporate disposition transactions including the |
| 19 |
| sale by TLC of the third largest ice cream business in Spain, |
| 20 |
| the largest snack food business in Ireland, and the seventh |
| 21 |
| largest retail grocery chain in France; during 2007, Mr. Glover |
| 22 |
| oversaw the liquidation of the company;
