HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Glenn Sebright on 
4
the occasion of his retirement from the Hanover Park Fire 
5
Department after thirty years of service; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright began his service to our country 
7
during the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Navy; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright started working for the Village of 
9
Hanover Park as a public works employee and as a volunteer 
10
fireman for the Ontarioville Fire Protection District in 1977; 
11
he became a Paramedic/Firefighter in 1981; he began working 
12
full time for the Fire District in 1982, continuing his 
13
employment there after the fire department became a Municipal 
14
Fire Department in 2000; his efforts have been tireless and 
15
enduring as a career Firefighter/Paramedic; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright has been the Muscular Dystrophy 
17
Association Chairman for many years; his devotion to the MDA 
18
has resulted in over $120,000 collected for Jerry's kids since 
19
1992; and

 
20
    WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright and his wife, Sue, have five 
21
children, Katie, Kelly, Brooke, Justin, and Fred, and a

grandson, Nicholas; and

 
2
    WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright's dedication to his profession and 
3
his willingness to serve his community makes him a model for 
4
the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

 
5
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7
congratulate Glenn Sebright on the occasion of his retirement 
8
and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and 
9
be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to Glenn Sebright as a symbol of our esteem and 
12
respect.
