HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Séamus 
4
Joseph Reilly, who passed away on January 14, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, He was born on February 3, 1939 in Navan County 
6
Meath, Ireland; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Séamus Reilly was a carpenter and craftsman; the 
8
quality and beauty of his work was recognized throughout his 
9
community; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, He was a devout Catholic and strong family man; he 
11
is remembered for his strong voice and his love for music; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, He and his wife visited the Illinois State Capitol 
13
on May 25, 2006 along with their son, Séamus; the master 
14
craftsman was impressed with the beauty and majesty of the 
15
Capitol with its fine artwork and craftsmanship; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Séamus Reilly is survived by his wife, Ann Reilly; 
17
his children, Séamus (Maeve) Reilly, Aileen (John) Jones, Joan 
18
(Eric) Katinas, Paul (fiance, Joanne Slim) Reilly, Bernadette 
19
(Andrew) Leathers, Nuala Reilly, and Noreen (companion, Denis 
20
MacManus) Riley; and his grandchildren, Sinead, Ciara, Aidan,

therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Séamus 
6
Joseph Reilly; and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Séamus Joseph Reilly as a symbol of 
9
our sincere sympathy.
