HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners and 
4
employees of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois (Marion), 
5
Carterville Family Practice (Carterville), Neat Trim Lawn 
6
Service (Carterville), McDonald's (Southern Illinois), Fast 
7
Print, Fazoli's (Marion), All American Hearing of Southern 
8
Illinois (Marion), East Side Lumberyard and Supply Company 
9
(Herrin), Extra Help, Inc. (Marion), and Rend Lake 
10
Beverages/Mountain Valley Water (Carbondale) on the occasion 
11
of winning Illinois State Representative John Bradley's "Good 
12
Neighbor" Businesses of the Year Award; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance of Illinois is 
14
recognized for donating money, resources, and time to local 
15
organizations such as Coats for Kids, Hands of Hope, Pat's 
16
Kids, Angel Tree, and the Marion Ministerial Alliance; and
 
17
    WHEREAS, Carterville Family Practice is recognized for 
18
compassionate service, including going out of their way to 
19
assist those who are uninsured or underinsured; and
 
20
    WHEREAS, Neat Trim Law Service is recognized for keeping 
21
prices affordable while also donating services and money to 
22
local charities such as Toys for Tots, Create a Smile Dental

Foundation, Carterville Lions Club, and the Williamson County 
2
Child Advocacy Center; and
 
3
    WHEREAS, John & Mary Moreland, owners of seven McDonald's 
4
franchises, are recognized for donating regularly to local 
5
charities and being involved in community activities for nearly 
6
three decades; and
 
7
    WHEREAS, Fast Print is recognized for donating time and 
8
resources to the SI Yellow Ribbon, which sends care packages 
9
and letters of encouragement to deployed military personnel and 
10
their families; and
 
11
    WHEREAS, Fazoli's Restaurant is recognized for donating 
12
food every year to the Marion Lions Club Christmas Party, which 
13
provides a meal for over 60 special needs children and their 
14
teachers; and
 
15
    WHEREAS, All American Hearing of Southern Illinois is 
16
recognized for donating over $500,000, services, and time to 
17
provide 140 children at the Marion School for the Hearing 
18
Impaired with digital hearing aids along with other 
19
contributions to local charities; and
 
20
    WHEREAS, East Side Lumberyard Supply Company is recognized 
21
for investing in the economic future of the City of Herrin by

maintaining and enhancing the building for the new Natural 
2
Enrichment Industries facility; and
 
3
    WHEREAS, Extra Help, Inc. is recognized for donating time, 
4
money, and energy to charities throughout the region, such as 
5
the American Heart Association, Women's Center, Poshard 
6
Foundation, Lighthouse Homeless Shelter, Salvation Army, and 
7
several local chambers of commerce; and
 
8
    WHEREAS, Rend Lake Beverages/Mountain Valley Water is 
9
recognized for donating money, supplies, food, and other 
10
products for local charity events and fundraisers and donating 
11
SIU football tickets to local youth groups; and
 
12
    WHEREAS, The commitment and dedication shown by the owners 
13
and employees of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois (Marion), 
14
Carterville Family Practice (Carterville), Neat Trim Lawn 
15
Service (Carterville), McDonald's (Southern Illinois), Fast 
16
Print, Fazoli's (Marion), All American Hearing of Southern 
17
Illinois (Marion), East Side Lumberyard and Supply Company 
18
(Herrin), Extra Help, Inc. (Marion), and Rend Lake 
19
Beverages/Mountain Valley Water (Carbondale) make their 
20
businesses a model for the organizations and citizens of the 
21
State of Illinois; therefore, be it
