HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jim Anderson on the 
4
occasion of his retirement as
President of First Midwest Bank 
5
in Danville on March 31, 2008; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Jim Anderson graduated from the University of 
7
Illinois with a degree in history; after coming home from 
8
college in 1975, he spotted a new building being constructed on 
9
Gilbert Street in Danville for what was then known as Iroquois 
10
Federal Savings and Loan; after inquiring for work, he began 
11
his new job with the bank, ascending the ranks until he finally 
12
landed the position of President, a position he served in with 
13
great integrity; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Despite the great work that Jim Anderson and First 
15
Midwest Bank have done for the community, Mr. Anderson 
16
considers his greatest accomplishment to be the development of 
17
the people he has worked with, a symbol of the quality he has 
18
so humbly brought to the institution; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Jim Anderson plans to spend his retirement 
20
fishing, staying involved in his community, and spending time 
21
with his grandchildren; and

    WHEREAS, Jim Anderson serves as a model of hard work, 
2
integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
3
Illinois, a mantle he will certainly continue after his 
4
retirement; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7
congratulate Jim Anderson on the occasion of his retirement and 
8
wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it 
9
further

 
10
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to Jim Anderson as a symbol of our esteem and 
12
respect.
