HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the administration 
4
and staff of Community Services Council of Will County, Inc. on 
5
the 70th anniversary of the Council; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, The Council was founded in 1938 under the motto 
7
"Constellation of Care"; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, The purposes of the Council are to coordinate 
9
services between human service agencies and individuals that 
10
need such services; to identify unmet needs and support 
11
appropriate interventions to meet those needs; to share 
12
information with the residents of Will County on the resources 
13
available; support the United Way; support existing agencies; 
14
recognize outstanding individuals; and to collaborate with 
15
providing services and agency partnerships; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Community Services Council of Will County, Inc. 
17
provides services in the areas of food, shelter, and clothing, 
18
counseling, emergency relief, education, legal assistance, 
19
medical care, temporary shelters, transportation, and many 
20
others; and

 
21
    WHEREAS, Community Services Council of Will County, Inc.

shares in the responsibility of addressing quality of life 
2
issues and recognizes that needs can best be met through the 
3
cooperative efforts of businesses, educational resources, 
4
churches, governmental entities, and social services; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, The philosophy statement of the Community 
6
Services Council of Will County, Inc. is "to exchange 
7
information, promote professional growth, coordinate services, 
8
anticipate needs, and mentor newly formed agencies for the 
9
benefit of Will County; therefore, be it

 
10
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
11
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
12
congratulate the administration and staff of Community 
13
Services Council of Will County, Inc. on the 70th anniversary 
14
of the Council and wish them continued success in the future; 
15
and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17
presented to a representative of the Community Services Council 
18
of Will County, Inc. as a symbol of our respect.
