1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of

3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Patrick Durante on

4 receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Italian

5 American Political Coalition; and

6 WHEREAS, Patrick Durante is the Addison Township

7 Republican Committeeman and has served since 1974; he is a

8 member of the Board Directors of the Regional Transportation

9 Authority; and he served as Executive Assistant to the late

10 United States Representative Henry Hyde from 1975 to 2007; and

11 WHEREAS, In addition, he served as a State Central

12 Committeeman for the 6th District; and he served as campaign

13 co-chair for State Representatives Franco Coladipietro and

14 Dennis Reboletti, former Speaker of the House Lee Daniels, and

15 Senate President James "Pate" Philip, as well as other

16 campaigns locally; and

17 WHEREAS, He previously served as the Executive Director of

18 the Illinois Young Republicans, the Vice Chairman of the DuPage

19 County Young Republicans, and as the president of the Addison

20 Township Young Republicans; he is a former member of the Lions,

21 Jaycees, and Rotary, and the International Material Management

22 Society; and

1 WHEREAS, He is a member of the DuPage County Housing Task

2 Force and the DuPage County Governmental Task Force; and

3 WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army Active Reserve

4 and the Illinois National Guard; therefore, be it

5 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

6 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

7 congratulate Patrick Durante on receiving the Lifetime

8 Achievement Award from the Italian American Political

9 Coalition and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be

10 it further

11 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

12 presented to Patrick Durante as a symbol of our respect and

13 esteem.
