| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the wrestling team |
| 4 |
| from Montini Catholic High School in Lombard on winning the |
| 5 |
| Class AA State Championship; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, This was the 6th IHSA State Championship for |
| 7 |
| Montini; this was the first time that one of Montini's sports |
| 8 |
| programs won a State championship in Class AA; they defeated |
| 9 |
| Providence Catholic High School for the State Title with a |
| 10 |
| 37-25 win, on Saturday February 23, 2008; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The season record was an impressive 36 wins and |
| 12 |
| one loss; the individual State placewinners were Jake |
| 13 |
| Gregerson, Isaiah Gonzalez, Dan Stelter, Carl Foreside, Dan |
| 14 |
| Grimes, and Garrett Goebel; individual State qualifiers were |
| 15 |
| Sam Brody, Benny Marti, Frank Baer, Jake Gregerson, Isaiah |
| 16 |
| Gonzalez, Dan Stelter, Carl Foreside, Dan Grimes, Garrett |
| 17 |
| Goebel, and Colton Rasche; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, The team finished second at "The Clash" National |
| 19 |
| Dual Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota; they finished second |
| 20 |
| at "The Cheesehead" National Invitational in Kaukauna, |
| 21 |
| Wisconsin; and they finished second at "The Dvorak" |
| 22 |
| Invitational in Illinois; the team is the Suburban Catholic |

| Conference Champions, and are ranked eighth nationally among |
